Scanning & Credits Policy

1. How Credits Work
Every Cardaxa account receives a monthly credit allotment based on the active plan: Free (25), Starter (400), Collector (1,000), or Dealer (4,000). Credits reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over to the next month.
2. When Credits Are Consumed
One credit is consumed per successful card scan that returns identification data. Scans that fail due to a server error, network interruption, or our own system issue are not charged. If a credit is deducted in error, contact support and we'll restore it.
3. AI Misidentifications
Card recognition is provided on a best-effort basis and may occasionally return an incorrect match. If a scan is clearly misidentified, you may edit the card details manually or rescan — we'll refund the credit for any confirmed misidentification on request.
4. Credit Refunds
Purchased and subscription credits are non-refundable once consumed. Unused monthly allotment credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and have no cash value. We do not provide cash refunds for unused credits.
5. Subscriptions & Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Account → Subscription. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access and remaining credits until then. We do not prorate refunds for partial months.
6. Rate Limits & Fair Use
To protect service quality, certain actions are rate-limited per hour (e.g. 100 AI description rewrites, 500 price lookups). Automated scraping, credit resale, and account sharing are prohibited and may result in suspension without refund.
7. Plan Changes
Upgrading takes effect immediately and resets your credit balance to the new plan's allotment. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
